Loneura andina García Aldrete, Mendivil & González View in CoL
This species was described on basis of a male, collected at Finca Monserrate , Los Andes, Santiago de Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia ( García Aldrete et al. 2012). In this survey, we found two females at the type locality, that we assign to that species, on basis of the head and forewing pigmentation pattern, although in one specimen the forewing M is six branched, and the hindwing M is three branched, not seven and five branched respectively, as in the holotype male, differences that can be regarded as intraspecific variation. We take here the opportunity to describe the female of L. andina .
