Pentapedilum nodosum Johannsen, 1932: 541 View in CoL ; Sasa and Hasegawa (1983: 325); Sasa and Suzuki (2002: 75). Polypedilum (Pentapedilum) nodosum: Tokunaga (1964: 597) ; Oyewo and Saether (2008: 49).
Material examined. JAPAN: Iriomote Island, Okinawa, 26.IV.2007, 5 males, N. Yamamoto, T. Hirowatari, G. H. Huang and S. Kobayashi.
Diagnostic characters. The male imago is characterized by having a strongly haired wing membrane, a uniformly colored abdomen, no microtrichia on the base of the superior volsella and a projection of the superior volsella with a medially placed lateral seta.
Distribution. Indonesia, Sumatra, Palau, Marianas Islands, Caroline Island, Japan.
