Material studied. Holotype mal e ( NRM): N.E. BURMA ( MYANMAR), Kambaiti, 6800 ft, 7.iv.1934, R. Malaise. Paratypes ( NRM): same data as holotype but 2000 m, 31.iii.1934, 3 ɗ; same data but 2000 m, 6.iv.1934, 1 ɗ; same data but 2000 m, 8.iv.1934, 1 ɗ; same data but 2000 m, 26.iv.1934, 1 ɗ.

Description (male). Head (Fig. 2E): Eye bridge 2–3 facets wide. Prefrons with 6 setae, clypeus with 7 setae. Palpomere 1 with 1 seta. Length/width of flagellomere 4 of antenna 1.95. Thorax. Anterior pronotum with 5 setae, setae of episternum 1 not counted in the specimen studied. Wing. Length 2.0 mm, width/length 0.40, c/ w 0.60, R1/R 0.75. r­m with 2 setae. Legs. Length of spur/width of front tibia 1.95. Abdomen. Sternite 8 with 8 setae. Hypopygium ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 A, B). Female: Unknown.

Discussion. Keilbachia arcuata is similar to K. aculeata , K. mira and K. tenuicula by having a long basal body of the mesial megaseta of the gonostylus. Keilbachia aculeata and K. arcuata differ from K. mira and K. tenuicula by having the basal bodies with an apical projection ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 ). Keilbachia arcuata differs from K. aculeata by having the basal body of the mesial megaseta stouter with a blunt projection, whereas that of K. aculeata is slender with a sharp projection, and distinguishable also by having a smaller sensory pit on the maxillary palp ( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 D, 2E).
