Psilodryinus reticulatus Fouts 1922: 632 .

Neodryinus reticulatus (Fouts) : Baltazar 1966: 204. Neodryinus reticulatus (Fouts) : Olmi 1984: 1076.

Material examined. Types: Holotype, female, PHILIPPINES: Luzon Island, Laguna Province, Los Baños, Baker coll. ( USNM!). Same locality label as holotype: 1 female paratype ( USNM!). Further specimens examined: MALAYSIA: Sabah: Danum Valley Field C., 140 m ( RNHL! AMNH!). PHILIPPINES ( AMNH!).

Diagnosis. Female with occipital carina absent; pronotum only with an anterior very deep transverse furrow, without a posterior impression; notauli absent; enlarged claw with a subapical tooth located very near distal apex ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 21 – 24. 21, 22 ). Male with forewing crossed by a dark transverse band beneath pterostigma.

Redescription. Female: fully winged; length 4.0– 7.1 mm. Head black, except mandibles reddish; antenna brown, except segments 8–10 brown-testaceous and ventral side of segment 1 whitish; mesosoma and metasoma black; legs brown-black. Antenna clavate. Head very excavated, shiny, granulated, sculptured by many longitudinal keels on face, vertex and occiput, with few keels among ocelli; occipital carina absent. Palpal formula 6/3. Pronotum hairy, crossed by a transverse impression, sculptured by some longitudinal keels, mainly on anterior collar; posterior edges of pronotum rounded, not produced into lobes. Scutum and scutellum dull, granulated and reticulate rugose. Notauli absent; scutum with two keels on place of notauli. Metanotum very reduced and short. Propodeum reticulate rugose; posterior surface with two longitudinal keels. Forewing with two dark transverse bands; distal part of stigmal vein much longer than proximal part. Fore tarsal segment 1 longer than segment 4 (30:22). Fore trochanters about four times as long as broad. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 21 – 24. 21, 22 ) with a subapical tooth and a row of five bristles. Segment 5 of fore tarsus ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 21 – 24. 21, 22 ) with two rows of 11 + 17 lamellae; distal apex with a group of at least 14 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/2.

Male: fully winged; length 2.5 mm. Head black, except mandibles testaceous; antenna brown; mesosoma black; metasoma brown; legs brown, except tibiae and tarsi testaceous. Antenna filiform; antennal segments 1–8 in following proportions: 5:6:12:10:9:9.8:8 (segments 9–10 missing in the only known male). Head flat, dull, granulated and rugose; frontal line incomplete, shortly present in front of anterior ocellus; occipital carina incomplete, only present behind and shortly on sides of posterior ocelli; temples absent; posterior ocelli touching occipital carina; POL = 5; OL = 1.5; OOL = 5; greatest breadth of posterior ocelli longer than OL (3:1.5). Palpal formula: 6/ 3. Scutum dull, granulated and rugose. Notauli complete, posteriorly separated; minimum distance between notauli longer than greatest breadth of posterior ocelli (5:3). Scutellum and metanotum shiny, smooth, punctate, without sculpture among punctures. Propodeum dull, reticulate rugose; dorsal surface with a longitudinal median furrow and with areolae smaller than those of posterior surface. Forewing with a dark transverse band beneath pterostigma; distal part of stigmal vein longer than proximal part (17:14). Parameres ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 21 – 24. 21, 22 ) with dorsal process about as long as parameres. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Distribution. Malaysia, Philippines.
