Comments. The specimens were collected in sand or shore vegetation at edges of slowly flowing small streams up to 36 m asl. It was first recorded from Tunisia by Ferrari (1884).

Distribution. This species is distributed in most of Europe, northern Africa, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Turkey, Cyprus, Georgia, Iraq, Israel, Russia (West Siberia), Tadjikistan, Uzbekistan (Polhemus 1995; Carapezza 1997; Fent et al. 2011).
