Material examined. Station 35, 03 -iii- 2013, 1 ♂ 1 ♀; 24 -vii- 2013, 1♂; station 45, 20 -v- 2013, 1 ♂.

Comments. This species occurs in very distinct habitats, from brackish stagnant water to mountainous streams and rivers; found up to 380 m asl. The first record for Tunisia is from Omer-Cooper (1930) in southern Tunisia (Chott Melah, Kébli) under the name of Sigara (S.) selecta Fieber.

Distribution. This species is known from southern and central Europe, Great Britain, northern Africa and Cyprus ( Jansson 1986; Carapezza 1997).
