Neoperla cavalerieri (Navás) View in CoL
( Figs. 6–10 View FIGURES 6 – 10 , 13–14 View FIGURES 11 – 14. 11 – 12 )
Material examined. 3 males, China: Hubei Province, Jingshan County, Lulin, Tianmenguan village, 31.2836 N, 113.0814 E, light trap, 2010. VII.11, Qifei Liu.
Distribution. China, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand.
Diagnosis. The present species appears to be a member of the difficult N. cavalerieri (Navás) complex that occurs throughout Southeast Asia and has been shown to exhibit considerable variation among taxa ( Sivec & Zwick 1987; Stark & Sivec 2008). The three males exhibit little variation in aedeagal armature in the numbers of sac spines; aedeagal sac with only small spiny cushion of basodorsal spines and three irregular rows of ventral spines ( Fig. 9–10 View FIGURES 6 – 10 , 13–14 View FIGURES 11 – 14. 11 – 12 ). We provide illustrations for aiding the recognition of this species from Hubei Province.
