Distribution: United States: NC ( Brimley 1938, Hoffman et al. 1998), SC ( Hoffman et al. 1998), VA.
Comments: Hoffman et al. (1998) determined that Brimley’s (1938) listing of Rhytidolomia senilis from North Carolina was based on a misidentification and should be transferred to this species. This species is generally treated as a member of the subgenus Rhytidolomia .
