Short description. (See Daly 2004a; Barragán et al. 2019).

Natural history. Anthopleura dowii inhabits the intertidal zone, on boulders and in tide pools, and can be found in areas of high swell ( Daly 2004a).

Distribution. From Mexico to Panama ( GBIF 2021). This species has been previously reported in Mexico in Puerto Escondido, Cerritos, Tecolote and Caleritas, along the coast of Baja California Sur; and in Puerto Peñasco and San Carlos Bay, along the coast of Sonora ( Carlgren 1951; Daly 2004a; Barragán et al. 2019). This is the first record for El Conejo, in Baja California Sur.
