Remarks. This subfamily includes the genera Macrolabrum Bãcescu, 1976 , Pagurapseudes Whitelegge, 1901 , and Pagurotanais Bouvier, 1918 , whose adaptations to living in the shells of micro-molluscs (≤ 5 mm diameter; Geiger et al. 2007) make them distinct from the subfamily Hodometricinae Gutu, 1981 ( Hodometrica Miller, 1940 ; Indoapseudes Bacescu, 1976 ; Parapagurapseudopsis Brum, 1974 ; and Similipedia Gutu, 1989 ) whose conchicolous habits (if any) are not evident. Błażewicz-Paszkowycz & Bamber (2012) usefully summarised the characters used to define the three Pagurapseudinae genera, with some new observations, and provided a key for their identification.
