Ancognatha humeralis View in CoL occurs in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru ( Endrödi 1966). Endrödi (1966) recorded a no-data specimen from Chile, and this was simply repeated by Abadie et al. (2008) and Moore et al. (2018). Ancognatha humeralis View in CoL does not occur in Chile.

C. modesta View in CoL that successfully became established in the gardens of a shopping center in the city of Santiago. Junior synonyms, if any, for each species are not listed.
