Origin of the material examined. Igrapiúna, Bahia, on H. brasiliensis 10 January 2009 (7), 20 February 2009 (6), 20 March 2009 (4), 24 April 2009 (7), 16 May 2008 (16), 10 April 2008 (23), 11 July 2008 (2), 10 August 2008 (7), 7 October 2008 (11), 9 November 2008 (23), 28 December 2008 (13).

Remarks. Amblyseius operculatus was very common in the survey, and has been recorded before on cultivated plants in the State of Bahia, and rubber trees in São Paulo State, Brazil ( Zacarias & Moraes, 2001).
