Type species. Pagurus loxochelis ( Moreira, 1901)

Diagnosis. Fourteen pairs of gills with entire lamellae. Small salience rostral acute not overreaching the lateral projections. Third maxillipeds with basis-ischium short, without crista dentata. Left cheliped glabrous with granules or tubercles flattened, very stronger than right cheliped that is hairy and armed with spinose tubercles.
