Creontiades uzeli Poppius, 1910a: 9 View in CoL –11 (as new species); Carvalho 1959: 78 (catalog); Schuh 1995: 748 (catalog), 2002–2013 (online catalog).

Material examined. Type specimen: lectotype Ƌ of Creontiades uzeli (present designation): SRI LANKA (as “ Ceylan ”): Heneratgoda, 02.ii.1902, Dr Uzel leg., type 9734 ( MZHF) [The specimen bears the Poppius’ original handwritten identification label with the mention “ Creontiades uzeli n. sp. B. Poppius det.”].

Diagnosis. Body reddish-brown to dark brown. Head yellowish brown, eyes blackish brown. Sulcus of vertex distinct. First antennal segment orange brown, with black, stiff setae. Second antennal segment yellow, black basally and apically. Third antennal segment yellow, tinged with red basally. Fourth antennal segment missing. Pronotal collar and area of callosities yellow. Pronotal disk brownish yellow, humeral angles black. Legs yellow with red patches, tarsi red, tibial spines black. Scutellum blackish brown. Clavus brown, slightly punctate, endocorium red brown as cuneus, exocorium light brown with a red spot apically, corium densely punctate. Membrane (including veins) brown. Discussion. The type of O. uzeli conforms to our diagnosis of Orientomiris on the basis of its external anatomy; hence we suggest the new combination.
