Anthreptes hypogrammica intensior Hartert, 1917b: 27 (Balingean, Sarawak).

HOLOTYPE: AMNH 685537 , adult male, collected at Balingian (5 Balingean), 02.55N, 112.32E (BirdLife International, 2001: 2631), Sarawak, Malaysia, on 9 June 1903, from the Brook Collection (no. 22). From the Rothschild Collection.

COMMENTS: In the original description, Hartert restricted the type locality of nominate hypogrammica to Sumatra, and described the Bornean population as intensior, citing the unique Brook number for his holotype. It bears in addition to the field label, Rothschild Collection and type labels. Paratypes are: AMNH 685538 , male, Mt. Mulu , October 1893, collector Charles Hose ; AMNH 685539 , unsexed, Mt.
