Type material. Lectotype designated herein: the larger specimen of two syntypes (Nr. 201-202/358), TSNIGR Museum Saint-Petersburg.
Type locality. Belaya Rostosh' ( Kazakhstan) .
Stratigraphy. Late Pliocene/Pleistocene, Akchagylian.
Discussion. The syntypes represent two fragmentary specimens with weak sculpture and a faint secondary spiral cord intercalated between the adapical primary spiral cords. This taxon is treated herein as a subjective synonym of Potamides caspius Andrussow, 1902 .
Eastern Paratethys. Akchagylian (Late Pliocene/Pleistocene): Caspian Basin: Belaya Rostosh' (near Inder Lake, Atyrau Region, Kazakhstan) ( Andrussow 1902).
