Discussion. Potamides (Tiarapirenella) binctum turritogracilis Sacco, 1895 is a subjective junior synonym of Tiarapirenella bicincta ( Brocchi, 1814) , described from the Tortonian of Italy. This name was also used by Papp (1952) and Sieber (1937) for slender morphs of Paratethyan specimens.
