Type material. Holotype, No. P. 4936, stored in the National Museum of Geology of Romania (Bucharest), illustrated in Jekelius (1944: pl. 21, fig. 23).
Type locality. Soceni ( Romania) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Sarmatian (Volhynian).
Discussion. Based on juvenile specimens of Tiaracerithium pictum with prominent spiral sculpture.
Central Paratethys. Sarmatian, Volhynian (Middle Miocene): Transylvanian Basin: Soceni ( Romania) ( Jekelius 1944); Eastern Slovakian Basin: Nižná Myšľa, Olšovany, Slanec ( Slovakia) ( Švagrovský 1971).
