see Tiaracerithium pictum (de Basterot, 1825)
* [ Cerithium nympha Eichw. ] var. striata — Friedberg 1905: 27, pl. 1, figs 5a–b [non Lea, 1833]
Type material. We are not aware of the whereabouts of the type specimens.
Type locality. Not defined, specimens were described from Sobów, Miechocin ( Poland) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Badenian.
Discussion. A morph of Tiaracerithium pictum with reduced beads and moderately prominent spiral sculpture. The name Cerithium striatum is variously preoccupied (e.g., Lea 1833; Deshayes 1833; Hombron & Jacquinot 1848). As we consider Cerithium nympha striata Friedberg, 1905 to be a junior synonym of Tiaracerithium pictum , no replacement name is needed.
Central Paratethys. Badenian (Middle Miocene): Polish-Ukrainian Fore-Carpathian Basin:Sobów, Miechocin ( Poland) ( Friedberg 1905).
