rollei . Cerithium . Hilber, 1879a see Theodisca theodisca ( Rolle, 1856)
* Cerithium Rollei Hilb. View in CoL — Hilber 1879a: 24, pl. 4, figs 4a–c.
Type material. The holotype was stored at the Universalmuseum Joanneum (Graz, Austria) but is lost .
Type locality. Gamlitz ( Austria) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Badenian.
Discussion. The specimen illustrated by Hilber (1879a: pl. 4, figs 4a–c) does not differ from other specimens of Theodisca theodisca ( Rolle, 1856) which occurs at Gamlitz in large numbers. Therefore, we treat it as a subjective junior synonym of T. theodiscus .
Central Paratethys. Badenian (Middle Miocene): Polish-Ukrainian Fore-Carpathian Basin:Sobów, Miechocin ( Poland) ( Friedberg 1905); Styrian Basin: Gamlitz, Windisch-Graz ( Austria) ( Hilber 1879a); Pannonian Basin: Várpalota, Herend–Márkó ( Strausz 1966).
