[ Cerithium View in CoL ] plicatum Brug. View in CoL var. Sabotti Nyst— Fuchs 1868: 217 [non Nyst, 1845].
Discussion. The name Cerithium plicatum Sabotti seems to be a lapsus calami for Cerithium galeotti Nyst, 1845 ( Nyst 1845: 537) . Within the moderately preserved specimens from Pielach ( Austria), Fuchs (1868) distinguished numerous “varieties” of Granulolabium plicatum (Bruguière, 1792) , which he identified with taxa described by Sandberger (1859) from the Rupelian of the Mainz Basin and by Nyst (1845) from the Rupelian of the North Sea. After revision, these specimens were treated as Granulolabium plicatum (Bruguière, 1792) by Harzhauser & Mandic (2001).
