Type material. Holotype. NHMW 2022/0069/0001, SL: 33.4 mm, MD: 12.3 mm, stored in the Natural History Museum Vienna ( Austria).
Type locality. Gauderndorf ( Austria) .
Stratigraphy. Early Miocene, Eggenburgian.
Discussion. Finlay (1927: 495) recognized that Cerithium abbreviata Schaffer, 1912 is preoccupied by Leckenby (1858: 13) and proposed Clava bidentata schafferi as a new name. The specimen, however, is not a Terebralia but represents Granulolabium plicatum .
