Type material. Holotype: specimen illustrated in Simionescu & Barbu (1940: pl. 2, fig. 21). We are not aware of the whereabouts of the type specimens.

Type locality. Chişinău ( Moldova) .

Stratigraphy. Late Miocene, Sarmatian (Bessarabian).

Discussion. This species seems to be based on a nearly smooth and abraded specimen of Potamides disjunctus .

Distribution. Sarmatian, Bessarabian (Late Miocene): Moldavian Platform: ChiȘinău ( Moldova) ( Simionescu & Barbu 1940).
