Type material. Holotype. 41732, Col. Ionesi et Vele, Museum of Paleontology , University of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” IaȘi ( Romania), Văleni ( Romania), Sarmatian (Volhynian), illustrated in Ionesi & Vele (1981: pl. 4, fig. 1).
Type locality. Văleni ( Romania) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Sarmatian (Volhynian).
Discussion. This taxon is based on specimens of Potamides disjunctus with a weak spiral cord at the abapical suture. This morph co-occurs with typical P. disjunctus and quadricinctus -morphs.
Eastern Paratethys. Sarmatian, Volhynian (Middle Miocene): Moldavian Platform: Lupăria ( Moldova), Văleni ( Romania) ( Ionesi & Vele 1981; Ionesi 2006).
