Cerithium Rahtii Al. Braun. View in CoL —Ģmbel 1861: 754 [non Braun in Walchner, 1851].

Discussion. Terebralia rahti (Braun in Walchner, 1851) is a Chattian species, endemic of the Mainz Basin (Oppenheim-Nierstein, Hochheim; Germany) ( Kadolsky 1995), therefore, its occurrence in the Central Paratethys Sea is highly unlikely. We have not seen the material of Ģmbel (1861) but assume that the specimens most likely represent T. prolignitarum , which occurs in coeval deposits in the Central Paratethys.

Central Paratethys. Egerian (late Oligocene/Early Miocene): North Alpine Foreland Basin: Rimselrain, Miesbach ( Germany) (Ģmbel 1861).
