* Potamides (Pirenella) Peneckei Hilber — Hilber 1891: 238, fig. 6 [nov. nom. pro Cerithium bicinctum Eichwald 1852 non Brocchi, 1814].
Type material. Lectotype designated herein: UMJG & P 4627 , SL: 16.8 mm, MD: 7.1 mm, Universalmuseum Joanneum (Graz, Austria), illustrated in Hilber (1891: 238, fig. 6).
Type locality. Jamm ( Austria) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Sarmatian.
Discussion. This name was established by Hilber (1891) as a replacement name for Cerithium bicinctum Eichwald, 1861 non Brocchi, 1814. Potamides peneckei is treated herein as a subjective junior synonym of Tiaracerithium pictum (de Basterot, 1825) .
