Type material. ZNG PAN A-I-50/705.1, SL: 12.0 mm, MD: 4.3 mm, illustrated in Friedberg (1914: pl. 17, fig. 20), stored in the Geological Museum of the Institute of Geological Sciences , Polish Academy of Sciences, Kraków ( Poland) .
Type locality. Niskowa ( Poland) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Badenian.
Discussion. Cerithium petersi is a morph of Pustulosia submitralis with large, subquadratic beads.
