Type material. The holotype ( Strausz 1955a: pl. 4, fig. 32) was stored in the Hungarian Natural History Museum but was destroyed in 1956 ( Pálfy et al. 2008).
Type locality. Hidas ( Hungary) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Badenian.
Discussion. A morph of Tiaracerithium pictum with reduced spiral sculpture and prominent beads at the adapical suture.
Central Paratethys. Badenian (Middle Miocene): Pannonian Basin: Herend–Márkó, Hidas ( Hungary) ( Strausz 1955a; Kókay 1966).
