Type material. Lectotype designated herein: F/1144. SL: 20.1 mm, MD: 8.1 mm, Krahuletz Museum (Eggenburg, Austria), specimen illustrated in Schaffer (1912: pl. 51, fig. 47).
Type locality. Maria Dreieichen ( Austria) .
Stratigraphy. Early Miocene, Eggenburgian.
Discussion. The type specimen is an aberrant morphotype of G. plicatum , with amalgamated beads on the first two adapical spiral cords.
Central Paratethys. Eggenburgian (Early Miocene): Maria Dreieichen ( Austria) ( Schaffer 1912).
