Type material. Lectotype designated herein: UMJG & P 4637 , SL: 12.4 mm, MD: 3.9 mm, Universalmuseum Joanneum (Graz, Austria), illustrated in Hilber (1891: 241, fig. 11).
Type locality. L̂ffelbach (Styria, Austria) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Sarmatian.
Discussion. A morph of Potamides fraterculus (Mayer, 1878) with regular spiral cords of equal width.
Central Paratethys. Sarmatian, Volhynian (Middle Miocene): Styrian Basin: L̂ffelbach ( Austria) ( Hilber 1891).
