* [ Potamides (Terebralia) lignitarum View in CoL ] var. margaritifera Sacc. View in CoL — Sacco 1895: 53.
Type material. Holotype, NHMW 1851/0002/0057, SL: 72.0 mm, MD: 26.5 mm, Natural History Museum Vienna ( Austria), illustrated in Ĥrnes (1855, pl. 42, fig. 1).
Type locality. Grund ( Austria) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Badenian.
Discussion. This species is based on the specimen illustrated by Ĥrnes (1855: pl. 42, fig. 1) from the Middle Miocene of Grund ( Austria). There are no features, which would justify a separation of this shell from Terebralia lignitarum ; see Landau et al. (2013) for further discussion.
Central Paratethys. Badenian (Middle Miocene): North Alpine-Carpathian Foreland Basin: Grund ( Austria) ( Ĥrnes 1855).
