Type material. We are not aware of the whereabouts of the type specimens.
Type locality. No locality indicated by Eichwald (1851). From the context, the material derives from a locality in the Polish-Ukrainian Fore-Carpathian Basin, such as Zalistsi and Zhukivtsi.
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Sarmatian (Volhynian).
Discussion. Represents a morph of Tiaracerithium pictum with strongly reduced sculpture.
Central Paratethys. Sarmatian, Volhynian (Middle Miocene): Polish-Ukrainian Fore-Carpathian Basin: no locality indicated by Eichwald (1851); Moldavian Platform: Răzeni ( Moldova) ( Kolesnikov 1935).
