Type material. SEIG DNU ( Scientific Exploring Institute of Geology , Oles Gonchar Dnieper National University) No. 3/4588, SL: 10.8 mm, MD: 2.8 mm .

Type locality. Yagorlyts'kyi Kut peninsula (location of former fishing village Svobodnyi Port) ( Ukraine) .

Stratigraphy. Late Miocene, early Maeotian.

Discussion. This species was established by Barg (1966) for nearly smooth morphs of Potamides disjunctoides (Sinzow, 1897) . It was synonymized with P. disjunctoides [= Potamides taitboutii (d’Orbigny, 1844) ] already by Roshka (1973).

Eastern Paratethys. Early Maeotian (Late Miocene): Yagorlyts'kyi Kut peninsula (Kherson Region, Ukraine).
