* Potamides kolesnikowi View in CoL n. sp. — Ali-Zade 1940: 39, pl. 1, figs 20–24.
Type material. A.A. Ali-Zade (1969) designated a lectotype, but it is unclear which specimen he had selected. Therefore, we chose the specimen illustrated in A.A. Ali-Zade (1969: pl. 47, fig 7) as lectotype, SL: 21.2 mm, MD: 6.3 mm. Museum at Moscow State University (The Museum of Natural History).
Type locality. Naftalan ( Azerbaijan)
Stratigraphy. Late Pliocene/Pleistocene, Akchagylian.
Discussion. Extraordinarily slender and smooth morphs of Potamides caspius . Early teleoconch whorls show two very weak spiral cords as typical for P. caspius .
Eastern Paratethys. Akchagylian (Late Pliocene/Pleistocene): Caspian Basin: Naftalan,Yekəxana ( Azerbaijan) ( Ali-Zade 1954; Ali-Zade 1969); Danata, Small Balkhan ( Turkmenistan) ( Ali-Zade 1967).
