Type material. Holotype, illustrated in Şmeghy (1922: text-fig. 2), Mining and Geological Survey of Hungary (Budapest).
Type locality. Diósjenő ( Hungary) .
Stratigraphy. late Oligocene/Early Miocene, Egerian.
Discussion. The holotype represents a morph of G. plicatum with prominently beaded adapical spiral cords and finely granulated abapical spiral cords.
Central Paratethys. Egerian (late Oligocene/Early Miocene): Nógrád Basin: Diósjenő ( Hungary) ( Sümeghy 1922).
