Discussion. Cerithium gratteloupi d’Orbigny, 1852 (in d’Orbigny 1852: n°1489, 81) is treated as subjective junior synonym of Mesohalina margaritacea ( Brocchi, 1814) by Lozouet et al. (2001a: 26).
