Type material. Syntypes, SEIG DNU ( Scientific Exploring Institute of Geology , Oles Gonchar Dnieper National University) No. 2/4587, SL: 5 mm, MD: 2 mm .

Type locality. Yagorlyts'kyi Kut peninsula (location of former fishing village Svobodnyi Port) ( Ukraine) .

Stratigraphy. Late Miocene, early Maeotian.

Discussion. This species was established by Barg (1966) for morphs of Potamides disjunctoides (Sinzow, 1897) with weak sculpture and was synonymized with P. disjunctoides [= P. taitboutii (d’Orbigny, 1844) ] already by Roshka (1973).

Eastern Paratethys. Early Maeotian (Late Miocene): Yagorlyts'kyi Kut peninsula (Kherson Region, Ukraine).
