* Cerithium Florianum Hilb. View in CoL — Hilber 1879a: 435, pl. 3, figs 8–10.
Type material. Lectotype designated herein: UMJG & P 200.153 , SL: 13.5 mm, MD: 6.8 mm, Universalmuseum Joanneum (Graz, Austria), illustrated in Hilber (1879a: pl. 3, figs 8a–c); the specimen is mounted on a card.
Type locality. Plirsch ( Austria) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Badenian.
Discussion. This morph is very close to the syntype of Tiaracerithium pictum (de Basterot, 1825) and there is no reason to separate the Styrian specimens as species or subspecies.
Central Paratethys. Badenian (Middle Miocene): Polish-Ukrainian Fore-Carpathian Basin: Miechocin ( Poland) ( Friedberg 1905); Vienna Basin: Baden-Sooss ( Austria) ( Papp 1952); Styrian Basin: St. Florian, Plirsch, Bad Gleichenberg ( Austria) ( Hilber 1879a; Papp 1952); Pannonian Basin: Samobor ( Croatia) ( Pavlovsky 1960), Herend–Márkó, Hidas ( Hungary) ( Kókay 1966; Strausz 1966).
