Cerithium (Pithocerithium) formosum nov. sp. — Karlov 1932: 80, pl. figs 37–40 [non Zekeli 1852].
Discussion. The name was used by Karlov (1932) for the same species, which he described as Cerithium conoideum in the same paper. Both names are preoccupied. See Lampanella maeotica for discussion.
Eastern Paratethys. Early Maeotian (Late Miocene): Crimea: Kerch peninsula (Bieli, Mount Mitridat ) .
