brenneri . Cerithium . Handmann, 1883b [nomen dubium ]
see Potamides fraterculus (Mayer, 1878)
* Cerithium Brenneri View in CoL n. f.— Handmann 1883b: 167.
Type material. The holotype of Handmann (1883b) was stored in the Kollegium Kalksburg in Vienna, a Catholic private school, but seems to be lost .
Type locality. Ĥlles ( Austria) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Sarmatian (Volhynian).
Discussion. Handmann (1883b:167) did not provide a description or diagnosis but discussed that Cerithium brenneri is intermediate between Cerithum spina [= Bittium spina ( Ĥrnes, 1855) ] and Cerithium ĥllesense [= Potamides fraterculus (Mayer, 1878) ]. Thus, it might represent a morphotypes of Potamides fraterculus (Mayer, 1878) .
Central Paratethys. Sarmatian, Volhynian (Middle Miocene): Vienna Basin: Ĥlles ( Austria) ( Handmann 1883b).
