Type material. Lectotype designated herein: specimen illustrated in Friedberg (1938b: pl. 3, fig. 12). We are not aware of the whereabouts of the type material.
Type locality. between Telish and Koinare ( Bulgaria) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Sarmatian (Volhynian).
Discussion. A stout morph of T. pictum with very prominent adsutural beads and reduced spiral sculpture.
Central Paratethys. Sarmatian,Volhynian (Middle Miocene): between Telish and Koinare ( Bulgaria) ( Friedberg 1938b).
