Type material. Syntypes. Department of Geology and Paleontology, Faculty of Natural Sciences Comenius University Bratislava ( Slovakia) .

Discussion. This species was introduced by Švagrovský 1954 as Seila (Seila) conitesta on page 32 of the Slovak part of his paper but was named Seila (Seila) conica on page 62 in the German part of the paper. In Švagrovský (1971: 333) he referred to Seila (Seila) conitesta and thereby fixed it the correct original spelling as first reviser. Thus, Seila (Seila) conica is an unavailable name according to ICZN 1999 Article 24.2.3. Already Švagrovský (1971: 333) recognized that this species is based on juvenile shells of Pirenella soceni ( Jekelius, 1944) (= Tiaracerithium pictum (de Basterot, 1825) ].
Central Paratethys. Sarmatian, Volhynian (Middle Miocene): Eastern Slovakian Basin: Slanec ( Slovakia) ( Švagrovský 1954).
