Type material. Lectotype designated by Ali-Zade (1969: 142), SL: 6.8 mm, MD: 2.4 mm, illustrated in Ali-Zade (1967: pl. 74, fig. 7), Earth Science Museum at Moscow State University (The Museum of Natural History).
Type locality. Danata ( Turkmenistan). Note that Ali-Zade (1969) erroneously stated Naftalan ( Azerbaijan) as type locality .
Stratigraphy. Late Pliocene/Pleistocene, Akchagylian.
Discussion. This taxon is based on spire fragments of a slender morph of Potamides caspius with prominent beads.
Eastern Paratethys. Akchagylian (Late Pliocene/Pleistocene): Caspian Basin: Kazanbulag, Naftalan ( Azerbaijan) ( Ali-Zade 1969); Danata, Small Balkhan ( Turkmenistan) ( Ali-Zade 1967).
