Type material. Holotype illustrated in Švagrovský (1982: pl. 6, fig. 3), Department of Geology and Paleontology , Faculty of Natural Sciences Comenius University, Bratislava ( Slovakia).
Type locality. Borský Mikuláš ( Slovakia) .
Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Badenian.
Discussion. Pirenella aspera is based on two spire fragments of Pustulosia submitralis with large beads.
Central Paratethys. Badenian (Middle Miocene): Vienna Basin: Borský Mikuláš ( Slovakia) ( Švagrovský 1982).
