Description. BL = 8.0– 8.4 mm, BW = 2.8–2.9 mm. Head slightly thickened, frons without puncture; antennae slightly exceeding elytra base; eyes large, tempora slightly swollen behind eyes, shorter than eyes, eyL/tpL = 1.75– 1.80, maxim width of head at outer margin of eyes, HW/PW = 0.61–0.65; submentum with one seta on each side. Pronotum round-rectangular, PW/PL = 1.07–1.10, PBW/PW = 0.80–0.82, widest near anterior third; anterior margin slightly narrower than posterior margin, PAW/PBW =0.83–0.87; lateral margins slightly arched near middle, almost straight before posterior angles; posterior angles rectangular, with a faint denticle. Basal foveae finely punctate, inner groove shallowly defined, about one-third length of pronotum, outer groove indistinguishable. Elytra oblong and parallel-sided, BW/EL = 0.59–0.61, with transverse microsculpture; parascutellar stria joined to stria 1, angular base of stria 1 very short or absent; parascutellar pore present; elytra humeral tooth small, apex sharp, slightly projected out. Interval 3 with one setigerous pore adjacent to stria 2, near posterior third. Male sternite VII without secondary sexual modification. In males, nearly full length of the inner margin of meso- and metatibiae crenulate; metatarsus slightly thickened in males (mt1 length/width = 2.8), slender as other Morphohaptoderus species in females (mt1 length/width = 3.5); metatarsomeres 1–3 with distinct outer-lateral ridge; fifth tarsomere setose ventrally. Median lobe of aedeagus small (length = 1.15 mm), apex abruptly curved at apical third in lateral view; apical lamella short and wide, apex rounded, slightly twisted to right; right paramere very short, apical portion round ( Fig. 33 View FIGURES 31–34 ). Endophallus extended to ventral side of aedeagus, gonopore opened to base of aedeagus, right apical lobe (ra) cordate, left apical lobe (la) spherical, larger than ra, both lobes not sclerotized but with fine scales; a strongly sclerotized piece present near gonopore. ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 31–34 ).
Distribution. Only known from two localities on Qinling Mountains, Shaanxi Province.
