Type material. Female holotype from El Manzano, Concepción, Chile, Oct. 12, 1996, T. Cekalovic, deposited in AMNH ( PBI _ OON 25623 ).

Etymology. The specific name taken from the type locality. It is to be treated as a noun in apposition.

Diagnosis. The species resembles C. campana sp. nov. by the female internal genitalia ( Figs 81H , 82H ) but can be distinguished from the species above by the shape of the genital lateral apodemes, which are gradually narrowing towards end rather than abrubtly narrowing; can be also distinguished by the higher clypeus, longer than one ALE diameter ( Figs 81C , 82E ).

Description. Male. Unknown.

Female ( PBI _OON 25623). Total length 1.90. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace dark red-brown, broadly oval in dorsal view, pars cephalica slightly elevated in lateral view, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica slightly granulate, sides granulate; lateral margin without denticles. Clypeus straight in front view, high, ALE separated from edge of carapace by their radius or more, more than ALE diameter. Eyes all subequal; ALE separated by more than their diameter, PLE-PME separated by less than PME radius. Sternum dark red-brown, fused to carapace, furrow wrinkled, surface finely punctuate, microsculpture covering entire surface, posterior margin not extending posteriorly of coxae IV; setae originating from surface. Mouthparts: Chelicerae, endites and labium dark red-brown. paturon inner margin with short inter-digitating setae. Labium anterior margin indented at middle. ABDOMEN: rounded posteriorly; dorsum soft portions pale white. Pedicel scuto-pedicel region with paired curved scutal ridges, plumose setae absent. Dorsal scutum dark red-brown, middle surface punctate, sides punctate. Postepigastric scutum dark red-brown, long, semicircular. Spinneret scutum large. LEGS: orange-brown. GENITALIA: internal genitalia V-shaped, reduced anterior area, rounded receptaculum ( Figs 82G ̅H).

Other material examined. None.

Distribution. This species is only known from the type locality in Chile.
