Type material. Male holotype and female paratype from Reserva Etnica Waorani, Orellana, Ecuador, July 7, 1996, deposited in USNM PBI_ OON 05757 . Paratypes: same locality as holotype, Feb. 8, 1996, 1♂, deposited in USNM PBI_ OON 05781 , Oct. 8, 1995, 2♂, 1♀, deposited in USNM PBI_ OON 26096 .
Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality. It is to be treated as a noun in apposition.
Diagnosis. The species resembles C. pocone sp. nov. in general appearance. Males can be distinguished from the species above by the extension of the translucent area on the dorsal side of embolar prolateral process, which in this species extend along the whole dorsal area of the process ( Figs 106F View FIGURES 106 ; 108E, G View FIGURES 108 ) and in C. pocone sp. nov. is restricted to the base of the process ( Fig. 110H View FIGURES 110 ). Females can be distinguished from the species cited above by the shape of internal genitalia with the sclerotized wall area extending in front of apodemes ( Fig. 109H View FIGURES 109 ) which in C. pocone sp. nov. is shorter, not reaching to the lateral apodemes tip ( Fig. 112H View FIGURES 112 ).
Description. Male ( PBI _OON 05781). Total length: 1.16. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace pale orange, broadly oval in dorsal view, pars cephalica slightly elevated in lateral view, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica smooth, sides smooth; lateral margin without denticles. Clypeus curved downwards in front view, low, ALE separated from edge of carapace by less than their radius, slightly less than ALE radius. Eyes relatively large, all subequal; ALE separated by their radius to diameter, PLE-PME separated by less than PME radius. Sternum pale orange, not fused to carapace, furrow smooth, surface smooth, microsculpture absent, anterior margin with continuous transverse groove, posterior margin not extending posteriorly of coxae IV, groove at anterior margin shallow; setae originating from surface. Mouthparts: Chelicerae, endites and labium pale orange. Chelicerae anterior face unmodified; retromargin without teeth; fangs without tooth-like projections; paturon inner margin with short interdigitating setae, laminate groove absent. Labium anterior margin indented at middle. Endites anteromedian part forming a groove between serrula and the apical portion. ABDOMEN: rounded posteriorly; dorsum soft portions pale white. Book lung covers slightly elevated. Pedicel scuto-pedicel region unmodified, plumose setae absent. Dorsal scutum pale orange, middle surface smooth, sides smooth. Epigastric scutum anterior spiracles secondary openings at level of epigastric furrow in an indent. Postepigastric scutum pale orange, almost semicircular, fused to epigastric scutum, without posteriorly directed lateral apodemes. Spinneret scutum narrow. Dorsum setae sparse LEGS: pale orange. GENITALIA: Epigastric region with sperm pore circular, situated in front of anterior spiracles, rebordered. Palp proximal segments pale orange. Conductor flattened laterally, with short curved tip; embolar tip a translucent tube with embolar distal process as translucent lamella; embolar prolateral process narrow, with narrow undulated translucent dorsal area ( Figs 106F View FIGURES 106 , 107A View FIGURES 107 ̅D, 108D̅G).
C, dorsal view. D, anterior view.
Female ( PBI _OON 05757). As in male except as noted. Total length: 1.37. GENITALIA: internal genitalia anterior area very stout and protuding, lateral apodemes long, narrowing towards distal end, receptaculum cavity reduced, posterior border procurved; chitinized wall area reduced to narrow slits ( Fig. 109H View FIGURES 109 ).
