Redescription. Head. Frons and vertex long yellowish hairy. Eyes EI 0.39.Antennae more than half of forewing length with 27–29 pecten.
Thorax. Wings. Covered with long yellow hair-like scales mixed with broader bifurcated ones. Wingspan 20– 22 mm, forewing length 9–11 mm. Forewings stretched, costal margin mostly straight, rarely slightly concave in the basal third. Termen oblique, apex mostly pointed. Distinctly light yellowish grey to light yellowish brown, hindwings with the same colour. FI Forewing venation with 10 veins from dc, r3+r4 long-stalked and m2+m3 shortstalked. Scales short, lanceolate.
Abdomen protruding the anal margin of the hindwings.
Male genitalia. GP 4166 ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 33–41. 33 ). Tegumen is distinctly pointed, and broadly folded laterally. When closed valvae not protruding to the distal end of the tegumen. Valvae broad, short, clasper of the sacculus distally directed upwards and covered with 4–5 short spines. Cucullus broad and short, directed downwardly. Vinculum triangular with two broad lobes laterally. Saccus short, broad, lobe-shaped distally. Phallus slightly bent, hammer-shaped, twolobed distally with a ventral inversion.
Larval case. Only one female larval case is known: Length 35 mm, width 10 mm, covered longitudinally with twigs of dry grass (the female pupae with a dried adult could not be examined without complete destruction).
Distribution. So far known from the south-eastern part of the Toros Mountains (Nur) northwards during the Anatolian peninsula northwards to the Elazig province.
