Genus Albaxona Szalay, 1944
Diagnosis (refined after Cook 1974 and Gerecke et al. 2016). Dorsal and ventral shield present. Dorsal shield elongated, without modifications, no cauda development, bearing five pairs of setae (Oi, Oe, Hi, Li, Si), trichothria Fp, Oi and setae Pi always not associated with glandularia; in addition, setae Si, Ci may be not associated with glandularia, other idiosomal setae associated with glandularia. Setae Fch, Fp, Vi, He, Sci, Le and five pairs of slit organs (i1- i5) in the membranous dorsal furrow, first pair of slit organs touching or fused with the sclerite bearing seta and glandularium Vi on each side. Excretory pore free or fused to dorsal shield. Tips of anterior coxal plates reaching or extending beyond anterior idiosoma margin. Ventral shield bearing setae Hv, Ve, Sce, Pe. Setae Ci and Pi located on small transversal sclerites caudally. Coxal plates IV with two pairs of muscle attachment scars: posteriomedial and posteriolateral or posteriomedial muscle attachment scars not developed. Genital field with three pairs of acetabula. Legs without swimming setae. Male: Аcetabular plates fused to form an unpaired plate bearing a few genital setae, surrounding the gonopore; this plate may be free in the soft integument or fused with the posterior margin of ventral shield, setae and glandularia Se free or fused with ventral shield posteriolaterally. Female: Аcetabular plates separated, expanded anteriorly and narrowed posteriorly, setae and glandularia Se free either fused with ventral shield or fused with acetabular plates; postgenital sclerite free, fused with dorsal shield or with acetabular plates.
