Remarks. An inflated abdomen with an obvious dorsal ridge characterizes this species. The anterior abdominal segments are lighter than the posterior segments. The mesothorax is marked with piceous in this species. Fore wing width is about 6.5 mm.
Distribution. The species has been reported previously from Brazil and Costa Rica ( Metcalf 1963c; Sanborn 2013; 2014).
Material examined for new record. “H.L. King / PANAMA: / 6–1–70 ” one male ( FSCA); “ Panama, Panama Pr. / ± 10 km W El Llano, 1400’ / June 3–8 1986 / E. Giesbert coll.” one male ( AFSC).
